Orneta Go is a classic Windows Mobile based Smartphone game of Go, created over 3,000 years ago in China, and still played today by millions.
Now, thanks to Orneta Go, you can experience this timeless classic directly on your smartphone. The game was even brought to Japan over 1,300 years ago by Buddhist priests and eventually studied by the country's warrior class. It's no surprise that Go techniques and strategies have all but become a staple of the samurai code.
Like the original game, Orneta Go consists of 180 white stones and 181 black stones, set upon a board of 19 by 19 squares with 361 intersections. When placing a stone, you must place it on an intersection rather than inside a square. The stone can be placed at any point on the board, including on an edge or corner, where it will be touching two, three, or four lines.
To capture a stone, it must not be touching any lines. If two or more stones of the same color are touching, they form a group with additional lines. To capture this group, all lines touching it must be eliminated.
Overall, Orneta Go is an excellent option for Go enthusiasts and those seeking a challenging new game to master. Its straightforward gameplay and clean interface make it easy to pick up and play without sacrificing depth or intrigue.
