This all-media software lets users acquire music, images, and digital video from various sources and display them in over 50 file formats. Supported sources include CDs, MP3s, digital cameras, scanners, TVs, VCRs, and the internet.
Additionally, users can watch TV/video or listen to music while performing other tasks. ProMedia even has the ability to convert CD tracks to MP3, WAV, or WMA. It also provides the option to produce movies from static pictures with its Video Constructor feature.
ProMedia is now web-enabled! This means that users can utilize it with their preferred web browser to download, open and view their preferred image files with a single click. ProMedia is equipped to acquire images from scanners, digital cameras, video cameras or TV/VCR from a TV tuner card or frame grabber. Users can also perform a screen capture with options such as Capture Area or Capture Active Window.
The software enables users to edit images with zoom in or out, its new magnifying glass tool, or pan window. They can resize, crop, rotate, flip, mirror, or adjust the levels of the images. Additionally, users can use one of over 30 filters on static images and video. ProMedia supports all Photoshop plug-ins and includes some of these in its software package.
ProMedia also has an advanced annotation program that lets users add notes or comments on their images, and even record and play a voice annotation that can be stored with their pictures or movies. Users can display or save an image in any one of over 50 different file formats. The advanced thumbnail browser in ProMedia allows users to preview large data sets.
Lastly, users can convert files with ProMedia. It can convert MP3 to WAV, WAV to MP3, WAV to WMA, WMA to WAV, CD Tracks to MP3, WAV or WMA, and perform batch conversion on over 50 different image file formats. The software will also convert video including: MPEG-1 to MPEG-2, MPEG-2 to MPEG-1, AVI to MPEG-1, AVI to MPEG-2, AVI to GIF Animation, GIF Animation to AVI, GIF Animation to Video or Video to GIF Animation.
