This ActiveX OCX software allows users to list, test, and extract audio or data from CD units and save them as WAV PCM files. Its functionality provides an efficient and easy way to manage CD contents.
One of the most significant changes in this version is the fixing of a bug that caused the OCX to crash during the utilization of some of the APIs exported. Another bug that caused the OCX to crash during the termination of the application was also fixed.
The event that automatically detects CD changes was removed from this version, as it was not working as expected. However, it may be added again in the future when the code is improved and working properly.
The function that allowed users to select the ASPI mode to be used was also removed from this version. Changing the ASPI mode requires a reinitialization of the DLL that makes ASPI access, which can lead to problems. To avoid these problems, the function was removed.
It's important to note that the ASPI access will now make different ways to access the CD hardware and will use the first method that is able to access and retrieve the CD information and data. This autodetection mode works very well and has been implemented in this version.
Finally, several minor bugs were also fixed in this version. Overall, ActiveX OCX 2.0.0 is a useful software that has undergone significant improvements in this latest update.
