SayPad is a free text editor with a built-in Text-To-Speech feature (SAPI 5.1) that can read and convert your text to MP3. It can split the text into well-named MP3 files for easy organization, making it ideal for creating audiobooks or facilitating the writing process.
This software, though keyboard-operated, features additional audio commands such as "hear block," "line read," and it can read your content to you like a story. It permits you to select a block of text by setting the start and end, but be advised that this will change if you move your cursor while holding down the Shift key.
SayPad has no apparent limit to the amount of text it can hold, making it ideal for lengthy documents. Additionally, with the auto spacing feature, you can control how the software handles the spacing when you cut and paste. Moreover, if you need something spelled out, simply turn on the spelling feature. SayPad can burn both MP3 file sets and wave file sets as well.
All user dialogs are spoken, making SayPad a comprehensive and useful tool in the world of text editors.
