A robust backup tool with advanced capabilities.

With Backup4all, you can view all of the changes made since the last backup using the tree view mode or read the statistics for the next backup execution. You can also launch any custom action associated with the file type via the context menu from the tree mode. The application uses ZIP compression, and you can set the compression level to either speed up the backup process or minimize the archive size.
One of the best features of Backup4all is its incremental backup, which allows you to keep track of file versions and easily restore any version of files. You can also filter files to restore, making the process straightforward and hassle-free.
Backup4all is compatible with any drive letter, including mapped network drives and UNC paths, and you can even back up to inexpensive CDR/CDRW media, provided the appropriate drivers are installed. The application is compatible with Windows 95/98/Me or Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP and requires approximately 4 MBytes of free disk space.
The features of Backup4all are impressive and include a new Backup Wizard, which guides you through the defining of a new backup by following the Wizard steps: General, Sources, Destination, File filter, Scheduler, Advanced and Summary. Similarly, there is a Restore Wizard to help you restore files easily by following the steps: General, File versions, File filter and Summary.
The interface is also intuitive, allowing you to see all files that are in the backup and the new files that will be stored at the next backup execution. The application allows defining multiple backups and saving them for future use, and on the main form, you have an overview of all defined backups organized in groups.
Backup4all also supports multi-threading, so you can start multiple backups at the same time, executed with minimum system resource consumption. The application allows you to select any file or folder accessible (local or network mapped directory) and exclude any files or folders that you do not want to back up.
The backup destination can be set to local folder, UNC/LAN paths, or removable media, and there is a scheduler available that you can use to set up a schedule easily. Backup modes are also available, allowing you to set backup mode to incremental or full mode.
ZIP compression is available, and you can select the level of compression (none, low, medium, or high) to minimize execution time or backup size. Backup4all also supports password protection, allowing you to protect your files by setting a password to each backup.
Backup4all has comprehensive restore capabilities built-in, and restores can also be done via any standard zip software, giving you more flexibility if you need to restore on a different computer. You can also view the number of files that will be processed at the next backup, which is very useful when you have a large number of files.
In summary, Backup4all is a feature-rich backup utility that is easy to use, provides multiple configurations and options, and is an excellent choice for those who need to protect their valuable data from total or partial loss.
