BezierEditor software is a fantastic tool for editing Bezier curves. As part of my Computer Animation course at the University of Manchester, I discovered the importance of bezier curves for creating smooth animations. All camera and object movements are modeled with bezier curves, making BezierEditor a valuable resource for editing such animations.
One standout feature of BezierEditor is its ease of use. It provides users with the ability to create and remove curves, with the option to make curves visible or invisible. The software also allows for control points to be added or removed from curves. With a minimum of four control points and up to 1000, curves can be modeled with precision.
Notably, BezierEditor offers two modes - curve mode and point mode. In curve mode, all points of curves that are selected can be modified. In point mode, individual control points can be selected and manipulated. For added convenience, constraints can be applied to ensure continuity of curves. Users can also zoom in, zoom out or zoom with a box, using the Zoom function.
The workspace created in BezierEditor is easily saved as a simple text file. Each curve must begin with a line containing 'C' char in the first place, allowing for intuitive editing if necessary. Multiple selection is another noteworthy feature, making it easy to move bits of curves as required.
Finally, installation of the software is straightforward. Users can run a series of simple commands in a terminal to establish the software. Overall, BezierEditor offers a reliable and user-friendly solution for editing Bezier curves with GLUT and C++.
