KClock

The KClock SuperKaramba theme is a desktop widget that offers users 12 unique clock styles to choose from. One of the key features of KClock is that clock hands can be shaded, but only if the user has PIL or ImageMagick installed. The program also provides an option to remove the second hand, and all clock hand images are cached to minimize system overhead. Furthermore, all clock styles are in svg format and can be resized to any size, thanks to the auto detection of Inkscape or librsvg.

Users also have the ability to add extra clock styles from the widget menu, as well as removing existing styles. However, the program requires several dependencies to function properly, including PIL, Image Magick, PyQt, Inkscape, librsvg, Superkaramba, and KDE 3.5.x.

In the latest release, KClock has added several new features, such as timezones, an auto-installation of the pytz timezone package, and a new GUI configuration window (only available if the user has pyqt installed). Additionally, the widget now throttles back the update frequency when not showing a second hand, and the developers have fixed several bugs and done general cleanup. Overall, KClock is a reliable and functional widget that offers a variety of customizable clock styles for users to enjoy.
