Listening Music Teacher software teaches sound analysis and the relationship between music and physics, explaining chord qualities and inversion. It also provides exercises to recognize chords.

To cover all the basics, the program presents 2 animated introductory lessons that explain the theory behind the systems in a simple, concise manner. Moreover, it features a chord explorer that allows you to move up to 4 notes around on the staff, and tells you the note name for single notes, the interval name for two notes, and the triad or seventh chord name for three or four notes.
The software offers 26 exercises that will assist you in improving your listening skills. You have to listen and identify various characteristics like the number of notes played, which side (left or right) played a sinus sound or the louder note, and much more. You also have to identify intervals, triad qualities, triad inversions, seventh chord qualities, and inversions.
The program includes options that make the tasks easier for the users to solve, but at the cost of earning fewer points. To keep track of progress, the program keeps a statistic for intervals and triads, which helps you identify any weaknesses you may have. For instance, it shows the interval name with which you mostly confused a particular interval.
Finally, the software offers ear training exercises up to a precision of 12 cents. With Listening Music Teacher, you can learn sound analysis and improve your listening skills from the comfort of your computer.
