This extension adds two options to the threadpane context menu, namely 'Search for this sender' and 'Search for this subject'. With the click of a button, the sender or subject of the selected message is copied to the QuickSearch window and initiates a search.
This handy extension is ideal for filtering out all messages in a thread or all messages from a specific sender. It saves you time and effort by streamlining your email sorting process.
Please note that Search for Sender has some limitations. For instance, when the quick search is not set to 'Subject or Sender', the extension automatically sets it to that before searching. However, the checkmark on the menu is not updated.
Additionally, the 'Search for this subject' option is not disabled when the subject line is empty or only consists of 'Re: Fwd: marks'. Although the developer tried to counter this issue by setting the menuitem.disabled property to true, it didn't seem to work.
The insertafter attribute also failed to work, which means that the menu items are not placed after the 'Open message in new window' item.
