SnapTime is a time-tracking tool that functions like a stop watch, but captures absolute time instead of time since start. Clicking the SNAP button saves the current time, displaying it in a list for easy reference.

In contrast, standard computer stop watches capture the number of seconds elapsed since the timer was started. How can this software be useful? Well, for instance, if one complains about the daily time signal being late, SnapTime can come in handy.
In fact, the National Research Council actually requested the developer of SnapTime to measure how delayed the CBC radio time signal was each day by the time it reaches Victoria. The application was created as a solution to this problem, at least approximately.
One can click the SNAP button when they hear the tone and then check how many milliseconds have elapsed after 10 AM. Additionally, SnapTime can also be utilized to check the synchronisation between the computer clock and radio-synched watch.
