Forcing a sequential flow-of-control through something that is meant to be broken down into objects leads to problems. Additionally, many modern GUI toolkits are quite bloated, largely due to languages like C++. WG is not yet considered bloated, but it is getting close. The goal of UWG is to create a lightweight and speedy gadget toolkit for X11 using C.
