This software retrieves the hostname and technical contact details (via whois) of one or multiple IP addresses.
One of the key features of Address Lookup is that it can read a list of counted IP addresses from either input from a file or by using the "uniq -c" command. Once the IP addresses have been inputted, the software tool will then resolve their hostnames and the technical contacts associated with each one.
After obtaining this valuable information, the Address Lookup tool will automatically display it on the user's screen for easy viewing and analysis. It is a highly efficient application that can be used for a variety of security-related purposes, such as notifying victims of Code Red attacks.
While originally developed to help with notifying victims of Code Red attacks coming from OSU hosts, Address Lookup has since gone on to prove useful for a wide range of security-related needs. Available as an open source tool, it is easy to modify, customize and adapt to suit your specific requirements. Overall, Address Lookup is a powerful software tool that is highly recommended for anyone seeking to improve their network security or streamline their IT operations.
