IIS offers a banner advertising system with a hierarchy campaign/zone structure for efficient ad management. The system allows for rotating ads and targeting specific zones for greater ad visibility.
Users can assign campaign priority levels, allowing for higher priority campaigns to be more visible to the target audience. Campaigns are also specifically targeted to certain orders and advertisers. Advertising zones are specified by page and page position, and campaigns can belong to one or more advertising zones, as well as sub-zones in the pages tree structure. Users can define page capacity and category for every page.
In addition to campaign targeting, this software also includes banner targeting options, such as specifying a date interval (date from - date to; 1.6.2002 - 7.6.2002), time interval in a day (from - to; 9:00 - 15:00), and banner weight to determine the probability of a banner being selected from a set of advertiser's banners. Users can specify banner details, including html code or image url, image reference url, and whether or not statistics will be collected about click-through and images sent.
This software also includes default banner definitions for default pages and all page positions, allowing for default banners to be sent in situations where no other banner has been selected from the set of banners. Lastly, this software boasts high performance capabilities, with the ability to resolve over 100 million banners per day on a Dual Athlon 1500 processor. Overall, this software offers comprehensive and efficient campaign and banner targeting options.
