Azureus on Rails is a free and open-source web front-end for the Azureus BitTorrent client, created using Ruby on Rails. It provides users with an easy-to-use interface to manage their BitTorrent downloads.
One of the most noteworthy features of Azureus on Rails is its ability to connect to Azureus using the XML over HTTP plugin. Additionally, it lists all of the torrents currently being downloaded and seeded, displaying detailed information about each torrent. This feature is especially useful when you want to see the files in each torrent or the list of peers for each torrent.
Apart from this, it allows you to force torrents to start, queue, stop, or even remove them from the list. You can also adjust torrent priorities or individual file priorities as per your convenience. Moreover, you can add new torrents from various sources including uploading a .torrent file or an http:// URL. It also supports Azureus Magnet links, making it a complete package for torrent lovers.
Other valuable features of Azureus on Rails include the ability to stop and start all the torrents, pause and resume transfers and automatic refreshing of torrent information pages. Additionally, the software provides HTTP basic authentication within the application, and you can also configure it using an external web server.
To cater to user needs, Azureus on Rails also has a feed (RSS and Atom) of the list of downloading and seeding torrents. Furthermore, it provides Microsummaries on the torrents list and torrent details pages. With all these features and more, the software requires only Ruby on Rails 1.2.2, making it an excellent software package that provides a premium user experience.
