This ActiveX Control simplifies drawing in AutoCAD, including lines, arcs, circles, rectangles, and 3D shapes. It enables distance and midpoint calculations for lines.
But that's not all- with CAD.OCX, you can also calculate the distance of a line, the mid point of a line or arc, and convert radians to degrees and back again. You can even send characters to the AutoCAD command prompt, add single and multiple-line text to your drawing, add a new layer, and calculate the slope and angle of a line.
Switching between model and paper space is a breeze with CAD.OCX, and you can also check for the existence of a block, see if a block has attributes, and search and replace block attributes or text. You can even count, erase, highlight, de-highlight, and more!
While doing all of these functions with Visual Basic would require several lines of code, CAD.OCX streamlines everything so that only a minimal amount of code is required- saving you both time and money.
Just keep in mind that CAD.OCX only works with AutoCAD release 14, and has yet to be tested with AutoCAD 2000. Once you've copied the software into your Window's System directory and added it as a component to your Visual Basic Project (named VBCAD), simply use Visual Basic's Object Browser to view all the available methods.
Get started with CAD.OCX today and see for yourself just how much it can streamline your drawing processes!
