This software suite supplies researchers with tools to process, simulate and visualize cardiac data.
The program is built using multiple tools, including ITK, VTK and KWWidgets. The latter allows researchers to write and run tcl scripts, extending the software's functionality. Additionally, CardioViz3D uses vtkINRIA3D and MIPS, the INRIA Epidaure/Asclepios team algorithms library.
CardioViz3D is partly open-source, with the vtkINRIA3D code being available for users. Currently, a beta version of the software is being tested on Windows, Linux and MacOSX as part of the CardioSense3D project. The heart of CardioViz3D, called KWAddOn, is included with the vtkINRIA3D source code.
Overall, CardioViz3D can help researchers and clinicians analyze and interpret intricate cardiac data. It provides a comprehensive set of tools, and its use of open-source code allows for flexibility and customization.
