The software generates reports on checksums for files or URLs groups.
Each line of a Checkm manifest comprises a set of whitespace-separated tokens that contain valuable information such as filename or URL. Other tokens offer information on the digest algorithm, checksum, content length and modification time. If there are unspecified tokens, they are left with a "-" symbol. The simplest type of file list can be created with this degenerate case of unspecified tokens.
Users of Checkm can specify any further restrictions on tokens based on their preferences, such as allowed defaults and digest algorithms. Users can also determine the overall manifest completeness and coherence based on their preferences.
Checkm can be used to verify the bit-level integrity of groups of files. Manifests can be single-level or multi-level (hierarchical) based on the user's preferences. Multi-level manifests are useful for harvesting content from very large websites, for instance, sitemaps.
Checkm is a user-friendly and efficient tool that offers accurate information on files. By using this tool, users can maintain the highest level of data integrity and ensure the data is consistent for importing, exporting, replicating and fixing content.
