This software, called ChordPro, comes as a Java version and is designed to format music sheets for guitar players.
Chord comes loaded with a variety of features that are designed to make song editing and formatting as user-friendly as possible. For example, Chord includes a text editor that comes equipped with song editing functions. The program also allows users to create centered titles, with chord names displayed above the word. Additionally, Chord includes a graphical representation of the chords at the end of the song, the ability to display multiple columns on a single page, and a songbook index.
Other unique features of Chord include configurable fonts for lyrics and chord names, the ability for users to include multiple songs inside a single file, and the inclusion of the complete IS8859-1 character set. Users can also easily mark choruses and drag and drop files or directories into the editor.
To use Chord, users must have Java 2 Runtime 1.3.1 or later installed on their computer. Once installed, Chord provides an easy-to-use platform for creating, editing, and formatting song lyrics and chord progressions with ease.
