C.L.A.P. simplifies switching between multiple Command Line Applications for users.
The software has no bothersome reminders or limitations that may hinder your experience when using it. C.L.A.P. offers an efficient way of switching between multiple CLAs that are running in just one application - the Terminal.app program. This can be challenging without C.L.A.P. since selecting specific windows can be cumbersome.
C.L.A.P. generates applications that you can customize to suit your preferences, with an icon in the Dock for each of your favorite CLAs. By simply clicking on an icon, the associated window will pop to the front, and you can start working on it, just like any graphical application. If the window is not already open, the C.L.A.P.-generated application will open it for you and run your CLA inside it. If the application is minimized, it will expand back to its original place.
C.L.A.P.-generated applications are launcher agnostic. You can switch directly to any CLA by using something like LaunchBar, as well as the Dock. To use the software, you need to turn on "Enable access for assistive devices" in the Universal Access pane of the System Preferences application. This is necessary to open new terminal windows with C.L.A.P. due to a bug in Terminal.App. Additionally, you need to create a folder named "Terminal" in "~/Library/Application Support/" if one does not already exist. This is where C.L.A.P. will store the .term files that hold your settings for each window.
In summary, C.L.A.P. is a powerful and essential software tool for all users who work with multiple command line applications. Its ease of use and efficient operation make it a must-have for anyone who wants to optimize their workflow.
