This software enables simulation of laser-based optical systems and creation of optical filters. Ideal for designing and testing laser illumination systems and enhancing optical filtering applications.
This new software has been entirely created from scratch for the Cocoa environment in Objective C, allowing it to run seamlessly and efficiently. Additionally, CoherentOptics is still utilized in optics research at SDSU. The program is capable of reading and writing the two major file types of the old program.
One of the best features of CoherentOptics is its ability to handle several documents simultaneously. Each document and its associated windows are color-coded to reduce confusion while working. The program uses Fresnel optics to simulate the propagation of light through an optical system, but without requiring any ray tracing.
Overall, CoherentOptics is an excellent software for anyone who wants to construct accurate optical filters and simulate coherent light. Its intuitive interface, impressive capabilities, and reputation in the optics research field make it an incredibly versatile and valuable tool.
