Efficiently manage your desktop icons on Tiger with our software. Simplify your experience and keep your desktop clean and organized with just a few clicks.
In the event that the new version crashes or performs below expectations, you can try using the Delete Preferences application to remove the existing Desktop Wrap preferences file if you have upgraded from a previous version. To do this, just select "Individual Icon Positions" from the Login Item Options section located in the lower right corner of Desktop Wrap's window. Then, click Save Desktop Icon Login Item or press command - s.
DesktopWrapper, an AppleScript applet for setting the current positions, will be saved into the Scripts folder in your Home folder's Library folder. However, you should move it to another location to prevent being overwritten if the "Individual Icon Positions" button is clicked again. You can easily remove the login item automatically created by clicking the Remove Login Item button. Bear in mind that this button does not delete the AppleScript applet's file, but only removes it from the login items list.
If you have installed the Applescript menu item, this applet can run wherever it is located. However, it is saved into the scripts folder to make it easily available for use. For saving a unique desktop icon arrangement pattern, this method can be used.
Overall, Desktop Wrap is an excellent AppleScript applet that is worth trying out for anyone looking to enhance their desktop icon arrangement functionality on Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
