DN Map Loader enables simple integration of third-party maps and total conversions with Duke Nukem 3D on OS X.
Although not every map or TC in existence might be compatible with DNML, it certainly does its best to try and figure out whatever you throw at it. If a map or TC is not working, you can manually set the file types in the detail screen or simply refer to the included Help for possible solutions.
Key features of DN Map Loader include multi-player games across your local area network (WAN not tested), setting the difficulty level in single player maps, a ratings system to rate your favorite maps, play count to show how many times you've played a map, and the ability to open text files, open map files in Build, and play voc, wav, midi files. Additionally, the software includes a Group Extract utility for pulling files out of a .grp file, a Group Build utility for creating .grp files, a Config Duke utility for changing screen resolution and enabling MouseLook, as well as a User and Defs con update utility for updating cons from v1.3 to v1.4.
The latest release of DN Map Loader includes a recompiled unpackssi to fix a problem with adding Duke It Out In DC. To use this software, you'll need an OS X version of Duke Nukem 3D. Overall, DN Map Loader is an excellent software that offers a wide range of features and a user-friendly interface.
