DCPP encrypts disks and removable media using the AES-256 algorithm at the sector level to ensure protection and limit access to authorized users.
DCPP's encryption process is automatic and transparent to the user. This feature reduces user involvement and training requirements but creates the foundation for enforceable security. Boot protection and automatic encryption are carefully integrated to provide high-grade security with minimum user impact. Boot protection prevents subversion of the operating system while sector-by-sector encryption makes it impossible to copy individual files for brute force attacks.
DCPP is the most feature-rich and fast real-time encryption system. It safeguards the operating system and important system files that frequently contain clues to Windows passwords. All cryptographic parts in DCPP are made invisible and transparent to the user. The user undergoes pre-boot authentication (PBA) before the system starts and before the operating system boots up, guaranteeing maximum security. PBA cannot be manipulated as passwords and keys aren't stored on the PC's hard disk.
The software derives all information necessary to boot the operating system from the password. Using hard disk tools for analyzing the hard disk entirely ineffective as a result. PBA is provided by a system call BootAuth and fully graphical, enabling organizations to customize the login screen. With DCPP, you have complete security for your disks and removable media.
