This software is an AIR-based tool that allows you to identify and remove duplicate files, making it easier to free up space.
One of these options is numeric naming, which lets you set a range of values that will be used to name your files. With this option, you also have the ability to specify a “minimum digits” setting, which automatically adds zeroes to the file names to maintain alphabetical sorting.
Alternatively, there's the custom naming option. With this option, you can either type or paste in a series of names that you want to use for your duplicated files. Custom names can be separated by commas, spaces, or line breaks.
Both numeric and custom naming options also allow you to add a prefix and a suffix to your duplicated file names, and even change the file extension if needed. Depending on the option you choose, you can either preserve the existing files or overwrite them with duplicates. Additionally, you have the option to delete the original file or folder after duplication.
Duplix is written in Adobe AIR, and it's compatible with Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. Overall, this software is a great tool for anyone who needs to make multiple copies of files or folders quickly and easily.
