Egotistics is a social network analysis software where users can explore and analyze multiple personal networks. It offers a comprehensive view of complex social structures, making it easier to understand and manage relationships.
While there are many network analysis tools available, Egotistics stands out in its ability to handle numerous small networks with little or no relation to each other or networks that contain connected egos. The software was developed in Java 5.0 and is currently in the prototype phase with version 0.5 as the current major version.
The Egotistics software is constantly being tested, with algorithms being optimized and users are encouraged to provide feedback on any issues they encounter. Developers Bernie Hogan and Wojciech Gryc created Egotistics at Dr. Barry Wellman's NetLab, University of Toronto, Canada.
The software is open source, but a definitive license has not yet been chosen, and so prior to making any modifications, please contact the developers. To run the software, users need Python 2.2 or later and Java 1.5.0.
