email@Scanner scans messages from POP servers, email files, and Mac email clients.
The extracted data can then be used to update a FileMaker or any ODBC compliant database. Additionally, you can construct a notification email by merging the data from the email and associated database record with a template message. You can either send the email immediately or queue it for later transmission.
The software is controlled by scanning definitions that describe how email messages are selected, how data is extracted, how the database is updated, and whether or not a notification email is sent. Once you create and test one or more scanning definitions, you can process them to scan email messages, extract data, update the database, and send notification emails.
Email@Scanner offers various key features, such as the ability to read email directly from your email server or client application, extract data from anywhere within the email header, handle non-Roman character sets, manipulate extracted data via user-defined scripts, and talk directly to FileMaker Pro versions 6, 7, and 8 or any ODBC database.
You can schedule the processing run for immediate or future execution and run it once or repeatedly at regular intervals. However, the software has one limitation: 30 launches only. Overall, Email@Scanner is an ideal software for anyone who wants to streamline their email scanning and data extraction process.
