Ping Monitor is an automated tool that monitors connection with local network and internet hosts. It works around the clock, alerting users of any lost/reestablished connections and facilitating custom actions or notifications.
Ping Monitor displays critical information for every host, including uptime percentage, the total number of connection outages detected, and information on passed pings as well as ping statistics. This feature is critical as it not only enables users to evaluate the stability and quality of the network connections but also aids in tracking the efficiency of the host connections.
In addition to these functionalities, Ping Monitor offers remarkable notifications and reporting features. One can configure the application to report any loss or restoration of the network connections through messages in the System Tray area or by sending alerts through email. Moreover, the software allows users to utilize custom event handlers that can be executed on detecting losses or restoration of events. Any command or executable file can be defined as the event handler, and users can activate special termination actions if all monitored hosts' connections are lost or can not be retrieved within a defined period of time.
This feature is particularly useful, enabling users to shut down, reboot, hibernate and logoff computers from which Ping Monitor is launched. I find Ping Monitor particularly helpful, and would widely recommend it to individuals or businesses looking to improve the reliability and stability of their network connections.
