Eventcorder is a Windows event recorder and player. It comes with E-Scripter for editing VBScripts, E-Scheduler for scheduling events, ESX-Library for OLE Automation, SSF-Editor for editing screenshots, and Spies for system tools.
One of the significant advantages of Eventcorder is its ability to type variable data while playing. Moreover, it supports export/import events to/from XML format. Eventcorder can be used as an OLE Automation Object from within any scripting environment, or an executable. In case you need to debug playback, a breakpoint can be inserted. It is also possible to take screenshots during the playback, making it ideal for testing other applications.
Eventcorder provides special Flags and Commands that can trigger special actions based on your preferences. For example, you can send a notification event to other applications, display a window with Rich Text content and so forth. The application utilizes Patterns database that contains samples of Clickview images and window titles and class names. A special way of playback called Learning can help when the UI of the driven application has changed.
The application also provides e-Scripter, a script editor that offers capabilities to write, debug and execute scripts written in MS VBScript. It uses Workspaces to separate projects in a convenient way and displays all OLE objects usable in the script, including their methods and properties. E-Scheduler is a timer that enables automated launching of takes recorded by Eventcorder and scripts written in E-Scheduler.
Moreover, ESX-Library is a collection of OLE Automation objects that includes general-purpose objects and objects specialized for testing of other software. SSF-Editor is another handy tool that helps define exclude regions on screenshots created by Eventcorder during a playback. It also provides Spies, a collection of system tools. All in all, Eventcorder is a highly capable application that offers numerous features and tools to those who want to optimize their Windows event recording and playback experience.
