This software extension for Firefox restores the popular 'Find As You Type' bar, allowing users to quickly and easily locate text on webpages.
Once activated, 'Find As You Type' provides the user with the familiar bar— complete with 'Next', 'Previous', 'Highlight all', and 'Match case' buttons. To activate this feature, simply navigate to the menu and select: Tools - Options - Advanced - General. From there, choose 'Search for text when I start typing'.
To use 'Find As You Type', all you need to do is visit any web page and start typing a relevant word. As you're typing, the desired link will be highlighted, and you can simply press 'Enter' to access it. Though the disappearance of the 'Find As You Type' bar may have been a frustrating update, the FAYT extension allows users to easily restore this helpful tool.
