FedTermX is a front-end software designed for the Federation 2 space trading multiplayer game. It provides players with an intuitive interface for seamless gameplay.
FedTermX handles the logging on process, account and character creation, and offers auto-mapping, separate workboards for handling cargo hauling jobs and buying/selling in the exchanges, and it also allows you to display your own character picture. It's worth mentioning that there is also a separate Windows version available.
Key features of FedTermX include the ability to store information for an unlimited number of Fed2 accounts, easy connection to the game, auto-mapping, and the display of text sent by the game in different windows, making it easy to keep track of what is happening. Additionally, your character's statistics and details of your ship are shown in a separate panel.
You can also add your own picture for your Fed2 character, and swap pictures with other players to display their pictures. A separate scrollback window allows you to review text that has scrolled off the screen. FedTerm also keeps a running record of the players in the game and displays the list in a separate panel. By highlighting a player name you can carry out a number of commands to do with that player.
Other features include Text Alert which tells you if any text appears on your screen, Friends Alert which notifies you when one of your friends logs on, and optional sound FX for takeoff/landing and exchange prices. You can also store commands on function keys, and have commands automatically sent to the game when you log on. Movement commands can be generated using the keypad or by clicking on movement arrows.
Lastly, FedTermX offers the convenience of auto-logging, meaning you can choose to have FedTermX automatically start a log file whenever you log into the game. Overall, FedTermX is a must-have software for Mac users who enjoy playing Federation 2.
