A disk imaging freeware offering drag and drop feature is available for use.
There are currently twelve compression formats available in FreeDMG, including UDZO and UDCO, which users can select from. Additionally, users can make internet-enabled disk images. Verbose preference and log window options allow users to hide/display additional information about the current image. The newly added "Images" menu contains a slew of options that can be used with disk images.
Furthermore, adjustable compression levels are now available in preferences, but only for UDZO format. Users can also overwrite existing files and have the option to quit the program automatically after creating an image on launch. Additionally, it is possible to encrypt images (password protect) with the click of a button.
Another benefit of FreeDMG is that it allows users to attach beautiful html/rtf software license agreements to disk images, making it the best option for adding SLAs to disk images for multi-lingual distribution. The license creation process in FreeDMG prevents character loss for all 2-byte languages.
Overall, FreeDMG is a comprehensive and reliable tool that makes it easy to create and manipulate disk images on Mac OS X.
