This software requires clever moves on both the tableau and foundations to progress. It involves making strategic decisions to succeed.
The remaining cards are placed, face-down, on the stock pile on the bottom of the foundations. To build your tableau piles, the cards must be placed in a descending order of alternating colors, which means a red 8 can only be placed on top of a black 9, and vice versa. If a tableau pile becomes empty, you can add a card or a group of cards to fill the vacant space. In case you run out of moves, you can click on the stock pile to deal a new card to each of the tableau piles.
The foundations are constructed in ascending order from Ace to King of the corresponding suits. If necessary, cards on the foundations can be moved back to the tableau piles to guarantee a higher chance of winning. These rules make Gypsy Solitaire an engaging card game that can be played for hours, and with the option of drawing new cards from the stock pile when stuck, the game stays unpredictable and enthralling.
