In development for Macintosh users, this is an upcoming web browser that aims to serve as an alternative option for online browsing.
With the exception of History, Cookies, Filters, and Preferences, iCab 4 can load and save old web Archive files and session files. While these may not always be necessary, iCab can read and write Safari WebArchives and iCab WebArchives, though the latter is needed to take advantage of certain features, such as creating Session archives. When opening iCab WebArchives, they function as a web cache for that specific tab or window. iCab will first look here to load any relevant pages. The archive can be opened later, and web pages revisited without an internet connection.
In iCab 4, Cocoa has its own global Cookie Storage, which any Cocoa web application can access. However, deleting or rejecting cookies in one browser may not affect the ones in others. iCab can use its own private cookie storage, in addition to Cocoa's global storage. While the private storage is the default setting, the Cookie manager allows access and editing of both storages.
Finally, iCab 4 still allows for the creation of Logfiles, and now offers real-time HTTP header logging in the Console window for watching HTTP responses as they happen. Overall, with its unique features and capacities, iCab 4 offers users an innovative and efficient web browsing experience.
