iLamp maximizes the capabilities of the 2002 iMac with its strong screen-saving features. It is designed to optimize the potential of the device for an enhanced user experience.
iLamp allows you to define the rendering engine that will be used. Two engine options are currently available: OpenGL, which is a 3D graphics rendering layer that is ideal for computers with a reasonably powerful graphics card, and Quartz, which is a 2D graphics rendering layer that does not rely on hardware.
Another great feature of iLamp is the ability to define the color of the "light bulb" or the color of the screen background. You can also enable color cycling, which allows the light color to change by rotating the hue component. The slider determines the speed of the cycle.
iLamp also lets you summon a Luxo lamp periodically. The Luxo lamp will "walk" through the screen, enhancing the screen saver experience. The slider determines the delay between two Luxo lamp summons.
Finally, iLamp allows you to disable the screen saver on secondary screens and enable it only on the main screen. As a bonus feature, the Space key can be used as a switch that turns the iLamp on or off.
Overall, iLamp is an innovative screen saver that incorporates great features that can add a futuristic edge to your Macintosh system.
