InFold is an application developed in AppleScript Studio that provides real-time details about your current Folding home unit.
The accuracy of InFold's estimation is dependent on the Folding@home client running continuously. If you turn off your client, shut down your Mac, or even sleep at night, it will take that 'dead' time into account. Therefore, it's recommended to leave your Folding@home client running every time to get the most accurate results from InFold.
The completion date is calculated based on your current rate of progress, and hence, is only an estimation. If you turn off your client for an extended period, the estimates might be less accurate. InFold is designed to be run in the background when the user is not working on the system.
The software updates every time it becomes the current application. InFold is programmed to update itself whenever the user switches from their current program to InFold. When InFold is in its hidden state, it uses 0.0% of the CPU and does nothing. That way, it doesn't interfere with the user's work.
By tracking your progress with InFold, you can monitor your Folding@home unit's progress more accurately. With InFold, you can view the progress in percentages that are easy to read and understand, instead of generating large and often inaccurate numbers.
All you need to use InFold is an active Folding@home client. If you are a Folding@home user or Folding enthusiast, then InFold is a must-have tool.
