iTunes View Keeper - Monitor iTunes and prevent it from switching the source view when you plug the iPod in
Version: 1.0iTunes View Keeper is a stay-open AppleScript applet that watches iTunes and prevents it from switching the source view when you plug the iPod in.
Operating System: Mac OS X
iTunes View Keeper is a stay-open applet that checks the current source view (selected Source) every 5 seconds. If the view has changed from the last time, it remembers the new view, and if the view has been changed to the iPod, it switches back to the last view.
Switching of views only happens when iTunes is in the background (so as not to cause a switch while someone is actually working in the iPod playlist) and since iTunes doesn't accept script events when preferences windows are open, it also doesn't change the view of the "iPod Preferences" window is open, no matter whether iTunes is in the fore/background.
When the script is launched it will automatically check to see if iTunes is running, and, if it's not, it offers to launch it for you. Also, if the iPod is the current view when the script is launched, it will be switched to "Library".
