This audio plug-in enhances stereo image quality utilizing unique processing functionalities.
The KR-Imager STR also boasts a freeze morph function and two stereo image animation methods, which provide dynamic time-variable stereo imaging. The algorithmic sweep method changes the frequency response bands based on a user-specified change rate, while the morph method combines two different algorithms in real-time. Users can employ these stereo image animation methods separately or concurrently, creating even more variations of the resulting stereo image.
This software can be used to process both mono audio signals and enhance existing stereo audio material. For the latter, the KR-Imager STR widens the input audio signal at its output, resulting in a more expansive stereo image. One notable quality of the KR-Imager STR output audio signal is it remains spectrally neutral and balanced at all times, meaning it doesn't change the input frequency components. It solely widens the stereo image for more pleasant listening.
To achieve these impressive features, the KR-Imager STR uses the Spectral Transformation Resynthesis (STR) digital signal processing (DSP) platform. This is a frequency domain proprietary DSP platform developed by KRESEARCH MULTIMEDIA. STR is a full-bandwidth, alias-free, linear DSP platform operating exclusively in the frequency domain, and it uses specially developed spectral transforms for sound synthesis and effect design.
