This software uses a color radiosity method on a finite elements plan to calculate natural and artificial lighting. It is designed to accurately measure lighting in any given space.
The software incorporates an internal CAD system with a powerful data management system, allowing you to create and view perspectives of objects and surfaces with ease. You can add objects of varying complexity, including flat surfaces with colored glazing, furniture, curved surfaces like cylinders, cones, ellipsoids, hyperboloids, complex objects like cross-vaults and more.
One of the most exciting features of LTB-Light is its ability to share information with other CADs through .DXF and .PICT files. You can import, show, modify and use the IESNA LM-63 photometric data files, EULUMDAT (European standard), and even PICT files.
LTB-Light has a comprehensive system for managing light sources, which are completely integrated into the main program. You can control the type, number, and power of light sources, and even lamp color by its color temperature or RGB color. The calculations enable you to control levels of illuminations, allocated energy amounts, direct and reflected colors, and correct positioning of light sources.
Once you finish your calculations, the LTB-Light presents the results in black and white, 8-color or true-color perspective view for the entire model and for each object in the scene. You can also choose to have a planar-projected mapping with overlapped values-mapping and/or curves-mapping.
You can print or export the calculations in Formatted Text (RTF), PICT, TEXT, DXF file or "co."
Finally, LTB-Light includes some powerful tools that help you optimize your projects. The 'CIE module' calculates the needs of a simple rectangular room, and the 'Road tool' helps you to find the best roads installation as regards fixtures, pole distance, and height.
Overall, LTB-Light is a sophisticated and useful software that any lighting designer should consider.
