Mac Multipac is a software that emulates the classic game, Pacman, on Mac computers.
The current version is 8.1, and in this release, the sound quality has been improved massively. Additionally, the sound is now enabled by default. This version comes with a new "Make Pac-Man go really, really fast" menu command that accelerates the game. Moreover, it has new key-mappings for the convenience of people without extended keyboards or left-handed users. Additionally, it has a new nifty about a box that provides essential information regarding the software.
While Mac Multipac had been cool in the past, the software is now obsolete. Nevertheless, it is useful for anyone who wishes to run at 3x3 pixels size or wants to experience the nostalgia of where MAME came from.
This release is a FAT binary, although performance tends to be poor on 68K machines, and support for the Pirahna Pac-Man clone has been added. Nevertheless, it's worth noting that MAME has since taken over as the new coolest arcade emulator out there.
