MailCaddie scans a folder automatically and periodically at selectable intervals between 1 and 120 minutes. If any files are found, an e-mail message is composed with al the files attached. After being mailed, the files are moved to another location, thus marking them as being sent.
MailCaddie auto-loads at Windows startup. It operates in the background, only showing an icon in the icon tray. It keeps a log file of its activities and any special situations. Options include the folder from which the files are mailed, the folder where the files are placed after being mailed, the maximum number of attachments and others. Works with multiple recipients.
MailCaddie can also be used in interactive mode. Here a selection can be made of the files being mailed. Optionally, the message can be edited before it is mailed.
MailCaddie works with all Simple Mapi e-mail clients. This includes recent versions of common e-mail programs like Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express, Netscape Communicator, Eudora Pro, Eudora Light, Pegasus Mail, Lotus cc:Mail and Novell GroupWise. The unregistered version of Mailcaddie is fully functional. English and Dutch versions avilable.
