Mapache simplifies setting up Apache Web Server with a user-friendly, fast, and simple interface.
At its core, Mapache supports editing of the main Apache host, including path, port, access restriction, access order, and a few other options. This makes it a breeze to configure Apache to your exact specifications. Better yet, Mapache also enables Leopard's built-in PHP module and Virtual Hosts, both of which are off by default. With Mapache, enabling these features is now simple and accessible to all developers.
Additionally, Mapache includes a second pane designed explicitly for working with Virtual Hosts. It makes adding, deleting or editing as many Virtual Hosts as you require incredibly easy, with a range of customizable options to choose from.
It is important to note that Mapache is still in Alpha, which means that it may contain various bugs, and there is the possibility of data loss. Therefore, we highly recommend backing up your configurations before trying out the software. Nevertheless, Mapache provides an extremely convenient and essential set of features, making it an indispensable tool for all Web Developers working on a Mac.
