Media 100 HD is a software that allows for multi-track editing of both audio and video files.
With this software, you can start with legacy Media 100 i content and add a healthy serving of content in the FCP 10-bit codec. You can mix some native DV formats as well, and all codecs will play in the same timeline with stunning quality and in real time. Uprez your SD to HD during capture or output and monitor 16:9 upconverts and 4:3 downconverts while you edit.
Built on the familiar Media 100 i interface, Media100 HD also offers powerful new features like a multi-track timeline, advanced keying, and a motion alpha channel that is real-time in SD and accelerated in HD. This software is designed to provide you with the editing system you've been waiting for.
Media100 HD has several key features that make it stand out. You can mix any supported codecs in one timeline without conversion or rendering. It supports Media 100 HD-native software codec, Media 100 i, and 844/X codecs, and QuickTime support that includes Animation, Motion JPEG B, FCP 10-bit, and DV codecs. You can mix HD and SD media with real-time format and aspect ratio conversion.
Media100 HD also provides creative possibilities such as multiple video tracks with opacity controls in the timeline, full motion alpha channel support with real-time SD performance, real-time audio effects with audio dynamics and reverb, advanced keyer with RGB, YUV and HSL controls, and intuitive color correction with real-time SD performance.
This software is designed to deliver deadline-pleasing performance. It provides faster-than-real-time rendering of many complex effects, real-time SD editing and multi-stream effects, and accelerated HD editing and multi-stream effects. It also supports hardware and host-based acceleration for maximum performance.
The latest release of Media100 HD includes several improvements. You can now export your timeline to the newly released Adobe After Effects version 7.0. You can import audio with the same name without causing disk I/O errors on playback. Importing video clips in a bin will now display the correct timecode, and the scan audio playback feature has been improved.
Export to PAL now exports the correct field dominance, and you can now choose an iPod Preset in the QuickTime Export dialog. Exporting media files now uses the correct color space values.
Media100 HD requires PowerPC G5, 1GB DDR SDRAM, Dual 2.0Ghz or 2.5Ghz, and QuickTime 7.x. It is a software solution that is perfect for editors who work with a mix of HD and SD sources and want to deliver high-quality content efficiently.
