A Ghostscript-compatible printer driver, available as open-source software, provides support for five models of Minolta PagePro laser printers, allowing for easy and flexible printing.
Developed by Manuel Tobias Schiller, the min12xxw software is quite new, and not many reports are available regarding its performance. As such, it should be considered experimental. If you're in the market for a new printer, it would be wise to choose a model that is not dependent on min12xxw.
The min12xxw installer includes support for five different Minolta PagePro printers: the 1200W, 1250W, 1300W, 1350W, and 1400W. To add a printer queue, click on the Add Printer button in the Print Center toolbar while holding the Option key. From there, choose Advanced and select your printer by name from the Device dropdown menu, then choose the appropriate PPD and click Add.
For Tiger users, the process is a bit different. First, open the Printer Setup Utility and click on the Add icon. This will open a new window. Click the Default Browser icon in the top left corner, then highlight the printer you wish to use. From there, choose the correct PPD from the "Print Using" pop-up menu and click Add.
