Mr 9 Menu is a software that reintroduces the traditional menu bar for users who prefer the classic look and functionality.
Once installed, Mr 9 Menu places an icon in the dock that, upon clicking, brings up the Classic Menu bar for easy access to the old Apple menu. What's more, there are optional methods provided, such as the "Access box" that displays a tiny clickable icon beneath the Blue Apple, and "Needle", which designates a strip of 100 pixels below the Blue Apple as a "hot area".
The app also allows you to have instant control over the Classic environment, including launching and checking the status. And the best part? It comes with no bells or whistles so it requires minimal space and memory to run. There are no registration codes or demo limitations to worry about, making it a "pay-if-you-want-ware" that is fully functional and unlimited.
Since its release, the app has gone through a couple of updates, including the ability to choose between Access box, Hidden, or Needle via a preference panel, as well as the option to not be prompted every time the app starts up. Some improved code and a new icon were also added.
Overall, I found Mr 9 Menu to be a useful software for those who miss the Classic Apple menu feature. It's straightforward, functional, and easy to use, making it a great addition to any Mac user's arsenal.
