MSMidiPix software converts MIDI sources to images effortlessly. It offers a simple solution to make music more interactive by producing visual output.
MSMidiPix is essentially a picture maker for your MIDI input, rather than a sequencer. However, it is an incredible tool when used in conjunction with MetaSynth for quick data entry. With this software, you can easily play from your MIDI keyboard and put it directly into MetaSynth. This makes the process of importing MIDI data into MetaSynth a breeze.
Some of the key features of MSMidiPix include the ability to load and convert Standard MIDI files, play from any MIDI source to create a picture, quantize notes to the grid, create up to 50 pictures, click and count in to a beat per minute, loop pictures for over-dubbing, automatically advance to next picture while playing, change line color, cycle colors to specified interval, undo, and multiple line styles. It also has picture tools such as repeat, blur, faster, and shuffle.
Despite its usefulness, MSMidiPix does have one limitation - Save pict is disabled. However, this does not take away from the overall utility of the software. Overall, MSMidiPix is an exceptional tool that any music producer using OSX should consider adding to their arsenal. With its incredible features, MSMidiPix makes the process of converting MIDI input into a picture simple and efficient, making it a fantastic tool for any music producer.
