The Redirect for MS Outlook software adds a "Redirect" button on the toolbar, allowing users to redirect messages instead of just forwarding them. Recipients will see the message as originally intended without any alterations.
In the forwarding mode, the internet headings of a message are lost and a double quotation may appear when answering such a message. The only way to reply to a message is to copy the initial sender’s address from the message body which may result in mistakes. In both modes, forwarding of an already sent message currently in the Outgoing folder can be very difficult.
Redirect for Outlook solves all these problems. It provides the opportunity to redirect messages rather than forwarding them. This adds a new button, Redirect, to the toolbar close to the Reply and Forward buttons. The recipient of the redirected message will see it exactly as if they’ve received the original message. Internet headings will be kept, the sender will be the same, and the formatting will also remain intact. To respond to a message, all you have to do is hit the Reply button. If you often redirect messages to the same address, you can insert the address in the RFO settings so it will be added automatically.
It’s important to note that the add-in should be installed on both the sender’s and the recipient’s sides. When you press the Redirect menu, a new message is created that is fully identical to the original message. The original message headers are sent as an attachment of the redirected message.
