Romanumerator is a software application that enables the conversion of Arabic numerals to Roman numerals, and vice versa. With this software, users can easily switch between the two number notations, making it perfect for businesses, academia, and personal use.
With Romanumerator, users can convert Arabic integers between 1 and 100000 into their corresponding Roman numerals. Any decimal places will be truncated, and should an empty field or an unknown character be entered, the program will evaluate it as 0. Additionally, input fields will only accept numbers until the first extraneous character (e.g. 4a4 will be evaluated as 4, while a44 will be evaluated as 0).
Not only can Romanumerator translate from Arabic to Roman numerals, but it can also convert Roman integers between 1 and 127000000 into their corresponding Arabic integers. The program disregards any extraneous characters and will capitalize all lower-case letters (i -> I, Iwav5 -> IV).
Conversion rules for Romanumerators are straightforward. To convert Roman numerals to Arabic, the program will check the left-most number. If the number on the right is less than or equal to the left-most number, the number is evaluated as its Arabic integer counterpart and added to the conversion of the rest of the Roman numeral. On the other hand, if the number on the right is greater than the number on the left, the program will subtract the right-most number from the left-most number, add the result to the rest of the conversion, and continue evaluating the rest of the Roman numeral.
Lastly, if there is nothing to the right of the number, the respective Roman numeral is simply evaluated to its corresponding Arabic integer. Overall, Romanumerator is an excellent software that simplifies numerical conversion processes.
