An add-on for Firefox that allows the creation of a calculator in the status bar, enabling users to perform quick calculations without opening a separate application.
The RPN Calculator offers basic arithmetic operations, has a 4-value deep stack, and includes mathematical functions and 6 memories. The best part is that the values stored in memory are saved from one session to the next, so you don't have to worry about losing your data.
The keyboard shortcuts make it easy to input numbers, and the four basic operations can be accomplished with ease. If you prefer to use the mouse, the calculator bar can be shown or hidden by clicking on the status bar icon or using the SHIFT R shortcut.
Hovering over the words "RPN Calculator" at the left of the bar will reveal a tooltip displaying the contents of the stack, making it easier to pick up where you left off.
If you need to copy your result, you can quickly do so using the CTRL ALT C shortcut or by right-clicking on the status bar icon and using the contextual menu.
It's worth noting that the RPN Calculator Bar addon is cross-platform and works on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. Overall, I highly recommend this extension to anyone looking for a basic but reliable calculator.
