A bot for Mac's Colloquy IRC client, allowing for automated message viewing.
If you're interested in installing the SeenBot plugin, here's what you need to do. Firstly, simply unzip the downloaded file. Secondly, move the extracted file to ~/Library/Application Support/Colloquy/PlugIns/. If this folder doesn't exist, you'll need to create it manually. Once the file is in place, you'll need to reload the plugin. If this is the first time you've installed the plugin, you'll need to go to Colloquy and type /reload plugins. If you've updated an existing plugin, or if the script fails to load, you should re-launch Colloquy.
It's worth bearing in mind that SeenBot is primarily for educational purposes, and is designed to show users how to use OS X built in Database Events with AppleScript. As a result, database events used this way can eat up some processor time if you're running Colloquy in a busy room as an event is recorded and the database saved for every user action in every room. To help mitigate this issue, you can turn the recordSpeaking Property off in the file.
