This software offers a range of tools for serial ports on Mac OS X.
The Terminal Emulator, aptly named Terminal.m, caught my attention with its objective-C extension of the NSTextView class. It's a great sample code for any Cocoa application that requires communication with a Mac OS X serial port through a text view.
What's more, the protocol analyzer included in Serial Tools is a sub-class of Terminal.m that supports a second serial port connection. This is extremely helpful for users who require monitoring of multiple serial ports simultaneously.
Overall, I found the Serial Tools pack to be a great addition to my toolkit and would recommend it to anyone in need of similar tools. The Terminal Emulator, in particular, was a standout feature for me and I can see myself using it extensively in my future projects.
